The “achievement gap” in education is the disparity in academic performance between various groups of students. The achievement gap is revealed in students’ grades and test scores. Students in the impoverished community are tremendously falling below when compared to other social economic groups. According to research, “The total number of high school dropouts annually is 3,020,000. In addition, 75% of U.S crimes are committed by high school dropouts.” (Statistic Brain, 2017) Lets change these numbers. By offering students the enrichment programs, confidence and skills they need to succeed, we can gradually decrease these numbers. Together, we can make a big difference. Our S.T.E.M, Music and Life Skills programs are developing responsible and productive citizens. We are helping to equip young people with the skills they will need as adults to provide for their own families and contribute positively to their communities.
